Hi guys,

So I'm in the middle of cycling my tank and doing water tests when required. I have not changed any water in 3 days at which time I added water conditioner.

My test showed 0 chlorine. Now today, its showing some chlorine. Why would this be?

Thank you.

What brand are you using can you take a picture?

Try mixing your water up when you add it next time the chemicals might not of bonded with the chlorine in the bottom. That stuff works like dating when you pour the fellas (chems) in there to find the ladies (chlorine). Theres always gunna be the odd man/women out in with not finding a match but with some help (mixing) you can guide the two together.

How do you fill the tank, with a bucket or a hose pipe? And how do you add the conditioner, straight in the tank or add to the bucket (if that's what you use)?

I use a bucket. I put enough conditioner in the bucket to treat the volume of the bucket, then run water in as fast as the tap will go. I use a jug to ladle the water from the bucket to the tank.
