Chinese Algae Eaters

ok my guy you see in this post<pictured is around 8inches,,,,hes not had a issue with anything in the tank what so ever, never touched the oscars/tinfoil barbs / bala sharks,,,hes in with a senegal birchir/hoplo catfish/gibbicep all bottom dwellers, i know hes sub tropical but hes doing just fine in there set around 26c,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,no aggrestion what so ever and never touched a fishes slime coat, always out and about,,,,,i think half the problem is what wolf says if someones temps up in the 28's then it would bring the aggro out in him  bit like when the heats on in the summer and people get grumpy,,
maybe the tank size also has a lot to do with it, alot of people get them for there small 2-3ft tanks as algae eaters and have corys plastered all over the floor,,

i ahve an algae eater - and hes fine hes only about 2 inches or so.....

i have a spare tank which he will go in if he starts bullying.......

well the golden algae eater is doing a great job keeping the tank algae free, but he cleans the plants a little too often and is damaging the leafs, especially the new shoots. are there any fish that clean the tank without damaging plants?
