Maybe it's time you learn what it is from imbellis purists like bkk_group and myself. They are difficult to breed and when cross-bred with long-finned splendens its first generations (F1) will revert to wild form (i.e. short fins). Only in F2 generations and beyond will the mutations take effect. Below is a picture of what a PURE betta imbellis looks like. They are becoming rare due to demand for the longfin variety and rampant crossbreeding. Very rarely will you see an imbellis sold in its purest form - blue/green gill bars.

Someone who wants to win without caring how really has no place in the OTM contests, it's not fair to the legit bettas. So I'm not sure why YOU'RE in here telling IBB to "shut up". As far as I'm concerned, IBB is welcome to bust any fakes he finds, so get over it! And as far as the rest of us doing it if we had the chance...I believe we DO have the chance (whole wide world of betta pics out there) but we DON'T do it because it's tacky and low

chill 55 have you seen what they do to people on other forums when they get caught with fake pics? brutal.
itty is just explaining what a true imbellis actually looks like. he posted a great pic that defines the characteristics of a very special fish, you should thank him for that, now you know what to look for and you become less uninformed, good thing right?
