AE have brought out there own brand of liquid carbon :good:
I thought i would do a price comparison for a heavily planted, 100l tank to keep things simple

AE, 500ml = £8 (2ml per 50l for heavily planted)

4ml daily
500/ 4 = 125days (6.4p per day)

Easylife EasyCarbo, 500ml = £11 (1ml per 25l for heavily planted)

4ml daily
500/ 4 = 125days (8.8p per day)

Seachem excel, 500ml = £16 (5ml per 200l)

2.5ml daily
500/ 2.5 = 200days (8p per day)

So from my calculations easycarbo is actually the dearest! Although excel is a "one dose suits all tanks" so you may need to dose a bit more.

HTH, Aaron

does anyone know if its as good in quality?- and aaron the dosage is it the same, may you have to dose more on the ae brand ??

well it was launched today so no reviews, however i know someone who has ordered some. I shall report with the findings although i cant see much that can go wrong. You could make your own batch if you wish however it is toxic

They have probably used the same quantities as Easycarbo, i would stick to the reccomendation of 2ml per 50l.

Just ordered 500ml of it. Shall see how things go.
I give credit to Richard for making this available.

i might buy some for that free £10 :D

or some assassin snails, as i have a snail infestation in the back 3 compartments LOL! ^^

they all contain gluteraldehyde. One side effect that was discovered after creation by many users was the alge killing abilities of gluteraldehyde so yes it has the same algae killing abilities :)
