Cheap Ro Water

Hi, I heard about this cheap way to make RO/distilled water, its on another forum so no link so i'll explain myself.

Basically you get a bucket, half fill with water, and use tape or something to stick sponges on the top, then wait for evaporation and you get pure water in sponges as the heavy metals don't evaporate. sounds good tbh, just thought I would share (I do not take credit for this, I heard about it somewhere else)

Even if it did work, i'd imagine it would take a very very long time to make several gallons

I am too lazy for that....I can buy RO for $.25/gallon in town so I invested in a couple of 5 gallon jugs from clearwater!

Even to me... waiting for water to evaporate would take too long. Especially to fill a tank that is quite large. I'de rather pay $0.29 a gallon at my lfs.
