so my parents are letting me get rid of my book shelf for a large tank like idk 40 gallons at least. where do they sell this in a stand and filter etc on a website?

Local classified adverts or Ebay is the best place to start. You will find lots of tanks for sale second hand. Just make sure that if you do go for 2nd hand, check the joins very carefully to make sure that the silicone is still completely water tight.

What kind of fish are you aiming to keep? I would maybe try and find a 4ftx12" tank or similar and if you can afford it get an external filter, it makes life so much easier!

im doin mbuna haps mix with 5 S petricola and possibly a senegal bichir

how bout u spader?

its a waste to get a big tank and do simple fish in it.thats just my opinion

Exactly m8... we all have to start somewhere...

no point in getting nice expensive fish if your just starting out , just in case of unexpected disasters.
lets face it , starting out can come with problems to us all.

i have a fairly big tank 213litre and only have 2 mollies and several fry at the mo , and i will only be getting hardy fish to start with , some tatras etc but i do plan on getting some more elaborate fish as time goes on and i get more experienced..

so good luck to you and enjoy your fish.
