Channa-ornatipinnis Have Laid Eggs..drawf Snakeheads

32 inches? Not far off then, the pic is decpetive indeed! Mine's 36 inches.

So for future reference, if I had no other fish in my tank I could keep one of these yes?

Is there any other fish at all that they can live safely with?

They're really unusual looking and I'd love one in the future. What do you feed the adults?

They are ubber aggressive, i have never tried them with anything for the simple fact the sooo bloomin exspensive and have never been breed in captivity before and there supplies in the wild have been exsaugted........
yes a 3ft is fine for them, est size round 10-12inches........
mine feed solely on dried meal worms from local garden centres....

This is the female with fry

Wow, for some reason they don't look like I expected them too. Do you already have buyers lined up for them all?

I have a lot of people private messaging me but nothing yet as set in stone, Also depends on how many make it through i suppose<im a negative person>

You could alway's private message me with a offer and i could put a list together, Ive been told i could sell the breeding pair and exspect around 300pounds within this current ressestion

Wish I did have room for some, but I'm maxed out. I wouldn't have thought it be hard to shift the young though, but I could be wrong.

They're beautiful! Very prehistoric looking . I'd love one eventually, I'm ready to try something more challenging than the usual basic tropicals, but I have to let my current fish live out their lives first. I know who to contact when the time comes! :p

Have you got round to contacting any sort of experts or societies on them about the successful breeding? If the suppiles in the wild are dried up you could become part of a breeding program for re-introduction :hyper:

They are growing soooo fast, fabulous little critters, weird but fabulous :D

Yes ive spoken with snakeheads uk and also the mod there who's running me through step by step, he mailed the origanal finder who is a doctor and works at natrual history museum...Who is very impressed with the succsess, i have a copy on my pc
