Changing Filter

Danb, they aren't getting sucked in, they're getting physically stuck behind the filter from the sounds of it.

Yea they swim in on their own accord and get stuck, the harlequins are small enough to get in but to big to fit all the way out

i have that intercept pf2
i like it easy to get new foams ect £3ish in p@h
only smallish fish can get behind it my baby bn plec around 3cm likes going behind it it hasnt killed any fish though

I would just replace the filter. Get an Aqua Clear. They are probably one of the most inexpensive filters out there, but one, if not the best.

Wouldn't that be akward to fit on the tank lid? and I need the lid because I have a very micheavious cat

You need to cut a hole into the back part of the lid. All my tanks are like that. Some come already made to be punched out for adding filters.
