how would one go about changin the water without uprootin the plants? i want to siphon the whole tank thoroughly instead of just siphonin the parts where theres no plants growin

My better rooted plants stay put, but I think its just being careful to get around the less well rooted plants.

every plant i put in my tand is tied to a rock at first evern then ones under the grabel the rock lets me transport my plants from tank to tank and keeps them down and lets them grow on somethingi bury the rock witht he plant to hide it so they asre like natural looking plants and stuff

Globel, good idea about attaching to a rock and then covering the rock. I don't know why I didnt think of that too.
Thanks!
Pat

If by "siphon the whole tank" you mean vacuuming - it is not necessary. Simply keep the substrate open by prodding it around with a chop stick or similar will suffice. The mulm is used by the plants roots, if you take to much of it out, you will need to replace it with chemical fertilizers.
