Chance Had An Allergic Reaction

This morning around 6am my partner Nathan came in from work and woke me up, Chance was swollen up around his eye and he couldnt see out. I could feel lumps all over his face and chest.
We waiting until 9am when the vets opened and he was first on there, during this time the swellins had moved to his testicals, the sack was that swollen you could feel them inside and the base of his tail was all lumpy.
He was given an injection of anti-histamean(sp?) and told to come back in 24hours if its not gone down.
I took these pictures just after we came back from the vets...

I have just returned from work and his face has calmed down and his testicals are still slightly swollen but he has a few new little lumps on his body. I have been trying to think what it could be that caused it and all I can think is that he touched/ate something on our walk last night around 9pm. I let him off to have a wander around the field but surely I would have seen a reaction quicker.

Oh my gosh, poor baby! How was he through all this?

Dogs can be allergic to wasp, bee, hornet stings etc.
Maybe thats a possibility....

Anyhow poor dog, hope he's ok

Hope chance is soon back to normal.
we had our own Drama here yesterday morning at 7am,Bracken our 7 month old mini wire Dachshunds left eye ball swelled right up.I was horrified and was sure he was going to loose his eye,The vet took him in and flushed the eye out incase there was a seed or something behind the eyeball but found nothing but now thinks he was stung in the eye

He is much better today. All the lumps and bumps have all gone down and he is a happy man again.
I was talking over with my Mam and I remember putting him on a new flea treatment Bayer Advantance and he normally uses Frontline, also I have been told the council have put some weed killers out locally so he could have inhaled/ingested that.
