is anyone elses cat agressive? my cat bites all the time, even thought hes just playing its very painful and ive been trying to stop him for a while but hes just tooo cute

How old is he?

When cats are young (2-24 months) they tend to be a bit more aggressive and playful. After 2 years they tend to calm down a bit and aren't as crazy. Even after the first year they are usually calmer.

almost everyone in my family has a big scar from my cat lately..

we were comparing them at dinner yesterday haha...

I had a burmilla a few years ago, because of the burmese in him he was a biter
the way we cured him of this habit was as follows....

when he opens his mouth to bite blow softly in his mouth
when he bites blow very hard in to his mouth
when he stops biting in a nice voice say good boy and tickle his ears

my burmilla took about 3 weeks to get the message.

I hope that you are sucsessful in this endevour. :D

Has your cat been declawed? I have heard that will contribute to the biting...

I don't beleieve they were saying to declaw the cat. It is true that if you have a cat that is declawed, it is sometimes more aggressive, and could contribute to a biting problem.

I didn't mean to imply they were!
I was just pointing out that the pratice is discusting and illegal here.

I'd be more aggressive too if someone ripped out all of my nails. Can you imagine the pain!!

If your cat's aggression (though it sounds more playful tbh) is becoming a real problem I'd advise trying Feliway and if that doesn't work seek the advise of a behaviourist.

We have the same problem with my 12 year old female cat. She's not declawed but is still a B!tch! she'll claw you and bite you, even if your petting her. She's always been this way unfortunatey!
