I taught my dad how to post them and now he takes more pics, although I haven't taken any pics in a while

Ropefish are not rare , but they can be a little hard to find IME. If you really want to try one I would just suggest looking around and looking carefully

It's a Featherfin syno, I don't know the scientific name off the top of my head My pictus must hate me, they're never out when I'm around

The Featherfin is a Sdodontis ( sp?) Eupterous. Great fish. I was gonna get one but for 15.99 I didnt think it was worth it although he was pretty much full grown. Drop a pellet in yur tank and yur pictus's will love you. Mine are so funny. Theyll pick it up and carry it around.

Yeah my syno must have been pretty cheap (LFS manager didn't know what it was+likes my dad and I, we're regular customers there)

So Do mine. Do u notice any barbel Damage. Mine look kinda ragged at the barbel tips and they are kinda discolored. Is this normal?

I have never noticed this problem, do you have sharp gravel? I think that barbel erosion may be a serious problem if left alone If it seems bad try posting in the emergencies section

Well I think they were like that since i got them but is there anything i can do with my gravel to make it rounder. would Putting a layer of sand down on top help? I just got some birthday money so i think i could afford All New sand but That would be a HUGE hassle so could i Make like half of It sand and then Make the other Half really High and have gravel.
