He has died
i came down this morning to find him lying out side the tank, on the plastic API test box lid

so he jumped. im not sure whether i will get a new dp, spose i wil decide in the next few days.. but as for the tank, it is getting slowly stripped and sold bit by bit, well not the actual tank and lights. i am starting again, with external filter, heater, glass lily pipes, better planting substrate, and an all round greater knowledge now of what plants actually need and dont need.. thanks for everyones help so far...

but i will be back
