Carbon ?

hello everyone !

This morning , my sunset dwarf gourami died of ich i got him 2 days ago !

and this afternoon , my red cobra male guppy died ! i think he died beacause he got ich too ( beacause of my gourami)
i bought him too , 2 days ago !

I went to the fish shop where they sold me the fishes , and the women said it what ich , abd gave us fungus treatment beacause , i have 2 cardinals and one female cobra guppy ( i wanted them to breed) left in my tanks and beacause it is contagious . I did everything they said in my tank , put 20 ml , it became green ( suposed to be green) after , i read that 48 hours after , you have to put another dose and 48 hours after to get the water to become normal , i will have to do a 25 % water change with new water and add fresh activated crabon to the new water .


My question : what is fresh activated carbon ?

You get it from your lfs, it goes in your filter and i believe it will clean the meds out of your tank.

They died within 2 days of ich? That's awefully quick if it's ich. Surely they must have been showing symptoms of ich then when you bought them and have had it for a while?

well , i bought the fish wensday , it had surely itch before i bought it !

I bough it , no symptoms . then this morning i checked my fishes and i saw that the gourami was like on the side of the parts that takes the water ( the higher part) for the filter and he was stuck ! so i disconnected the filter and he started to swim very very weird so i know it was the end so i did what my book said and put him in a little bowl or aquarium that has 2 inch of water over the fin and he died later !

not trying to insult your intelligence but do you know what the symptoms of ich are? It is not a fungus...it's a parasite. What symptoms were you experiencing. Also

1. how old is the tank?
2. what else did you have with the fish?
3. what medication did you use?
3. what are your water parameters...(PH, ammonia, nitrIte, and nitrAte)

the seller sold me the fungus . yesterday night , a cardinal died too !

As Torrean says... check your water parametres, think of every possible factor which could have caused your fish(es) to die.
