can anyone help me and name this Shrimp?

It looks like a Cherry Shrimp (female). Here are some retail sites with lots of pictures for you to compare to yours.

I've never bought from either of these so I'm not recommending them for that reason.. only for their pictures.

I just wasn't sure, since the red was only concentrated along the spine.

And good lord those sites are expensive, I bought 10 for $5!

Your picture makes it look more red, than just along the top. It may be a male in that case. The females seem to turn more red all over.

As far as pricing, I've seen people post where they paid more than $10.00 for a single shrimp. I just got an order of 25 shrimp, a BN Pleco and 7 different plants for $35.00 including the shipping charge. I didn't ask for a breakdown of the prices since it was advertised as a package deal in a forum. I just jumped on the offer since I knew it was a good deal.

They usually sell cherry shrimp for 3 or 4 dollars each.

I see them on Aquabid for $1.00 each all of the time and as more people start breeding them and selling them, the price will come way down. When mine start to overpopulate, I'm going to put together $25.00 packages of 25 shrimp, including shipping. It will be a few months though.
