Hi,
Our office just got a new 90 gallon tank. We started out with 7 fishes. Since I don;t know anything about tropical fishes, I decided to do some research. I found 3 out of the 6 kinds on the net but am having trouble finding anything on the other three. The name that the dealer gave me was.
Peach Peacock - Red
Electric Blue Peacock - Dark Blue
Caroline Peacock - Dark Blue/Black with a hint of orange on fins.
I came to conclusion that these are some hybrids of peacock chiclids and that's why I can;t find any info.
If anyone knows any info about thier scientific name or thier original specie please let me know.
Basically I want to create a small card that has a picture, where the fish is from, and some basic specs that people can look at.
Also the three other kind we got was.
Red Tail Tinfoil.
Labidochromis
Demasoni
We got two of Tinfoils but one did not make it :(. The dealer said we can add more fishes in about two weeks. :)
soon as I get some pics I will post them.
thank you

Edit.
Here is two of the cards I created.

Thank you for the site.
I did not find the info I was looking for.
The problem is not that I don't know what the fishes are. Others I go to google and find a lot of infos. But for the 3 peacock I can't find them anywhere. So I need to know if they are all same fish with different variations? or Are they all different.
Once again they are
Peach peacock
Electric Blue Peacock
Caroline Peacock.
That's the name that the fish vendor gave me.
Any ideas?

Hi there, i'm afraid i couldn't tell you the fish but i like the look of the demisoni, is that a fresh water fish is it?

Yes.
I guess maybe I'll rephrase the question. Are all peacock the same fish with different colors? Example caroline, electric blue, peach, etc. If so is peacock chiclid the name for all of them?

"Peacock" is the common name for a fish more accurately known as Aulonocara, and while they all share the same genus, they are different species. Common names are nearly useless with these fish, with a few exceptions - without pictures it's impossible to say what you have and whether you have hybrids.

BTW, be careful how you stock the tank, you're dealing with very aggressive fish that will only get more so as they grow. Peacocks generally don't do great with most types of mbuna, and very few fish not from lake Malawi will make it in this environment. The remaining tinfoil will be killed eventually, most likely.
