Hello,

I have a 30 gallon aquarium which im working on. Its got a ridiculous amounts of hiding places and should be quite well planted when im done with it.

Im looking for a small species of pleco that wont suck into the side of other fish in the tank (planned occupants include angelfish and tetra, maybe small species of loach/catfish aswell)

My list so far is

Clown pleco: love um, my Girlfriend has one in her tank tho so id be abit of a copycat.
LG6 whiptail pleco: saw some at a LFS, look cool
Bulldog pleco: dont no much about these, heard they can be abit aggresive at times?
Bristlenose pleco: think they look abit ugly. Other that that there quite cool.

would anyone recommend one of the above over the others and why?. Also any other suggestions are welcome

ps: i dont want anything too expencive £5-£15 (unless they have really great markings)

Are they all in the 30g? If so, I'd think you're all plec-ed out I'm afraid, they need plenty of room for territory ;) You might - and I say might - get away with something small like a Queen Arabesque, but with angels in there too you'll be pushing it ;)

Lovely collection btw, any pics? :)

I'd say wish list too ;)
What you want in there is a nice Starlight Bristle nose or 2 :D :D
(see my for Plecs sale thread :D :D)

Ooops....well that'll teach me to speed read when I'm tired. Sorry!

Hmm wish list....

Peckoltia vitatta (not sure if I spelt that right) - they're around £10-15 and beautiful. Not as nice as a braueri but they're quite a bit more expensive *sigh*

Yep and as Mike said, other peckoltias - I think all of them are beautiful, and there's loads to choose from. I dont think there's much else you'll get in that price range other than the ones you and others have already listed.

Sorry Tim, I can't help you on the plecos, but I notice you're local, and was just wondering where you buy your fish from?
