We have two green branching torch corals that are close to each other. Can their stinging sweepers harm each other? Two heads were originally part of the same coral that were fragged apart. Also, if the same species can be placed in the same area, can a brown and green be placed in the same area. We also want to know if a hammer coral and torch coral would harm each other.

Yes, the two torch corals can be placed next to each other. Especially ones of the same original colony that are fragged. These are technically identical twin animals. Even brown/green ones can be placed next to one another.

A hammer coral MAY get into a stinging war with a torch, its tough to say. Usually if they do get in a fight the hammer will slowly win, but it'll take a long time (days/weeks) so you can give it a shot and if the torch is frequently retracted with the hammer swinging out sweepers, probably wont work...
