Can Plecs Get "worms"?

one of my Bristlenose eats and eats and eats, but hes still worryingly thin.

someone suggested to me that it may have internal parasites (worms)

is this a possibility or am i stressing over nothing?

Yes fish and plecs can get worms, usually affects wild caught fish more so than tank bred but a good supplier would have wormed there stock prior to selling.

If your concerned there is a wormer which i would highly recommend called kusuri wormer, this will sort the worm problem out, so long as it is actually worms that's the problem

Out of curiosity whats his diet feeding regime?

mainly algae wafers in the evening and some cucumber/ courgette during the day, but he been known to eat melon and the occasional strawberry too

if fish worms are anything like humans worms, which i expect they are, they dont actually eat alot of the food the person/fish eats, therefore meaning that they shouldnt really get skinny due to the worm. I dont know though 100%, but thats my educated guess.
Id say hes either fine if he's eating or has an infection if not.

i can get a picture of him. hes been like this since i got him a few months ago, it just worries me that hes so thin considering the amount he eats.

hes really lively day and night, and if i put my hand in the tank he attatches himself straight to my hand

haha, he sounds a fab little fish!! mines scared of me, i think due to me changing him around tanks quite a bit and not doing the feeding. o well!

A pic would be fab of possible, because if he is ill the medicine guru's on here would be able to tell straight away!!

hope he is ok as he sounds like a great little BN with a great little temprement.
