This seems a stupid question to me personally as I would expect that they do In natural circumstances but what dangers are there in feeding garden snails and slugs to my fish and turtle ? Are there any terrestrial parasites that they hold they can destroy an aquatic environment

I haven't researched this, and English garden slimers and Canadian ones might have bigger differences than just accents...

I've always felt safer with beetles and such. Slugs have that lovely slime which tastes foul to local birds here. They seem to wander around without getting eaten.

I don’t know why I imagined a snail taking in a Canadian accent ahah , I have bladder snails but they are tiny and my fish could probably eat 100s

I'll tell you, drop a maple leaf into a tank for the tannins, and a Canadian snail will devour it.

How large are the slugs around there? The ones where I am look like manatees, but 2 inch ones.

In addition to possible parasites, I would consider contaminants from man-made pollution, as well

The slugs I get are similar in size some iv saw are over 3inchs there fairly sizeable but there are a lot under 1 inch perfect size to eat for a fish

They could if they would but many may be too large for many fish abd some may not recognize them as food.
I’d mainly be feeding my oscars and turtle with them to be fair but yeah I don’t think any of my other fish would eat them , maybe my pleco would as I’m sure it thinks it’s an Oscar

Think of an oceanic comparison. snails=periwinkles. Edible
Slugs=sea slugs. Edible

We have slugs that grow to 6 inches long here and will swarm over the dog's food bowl and the dog will come inside and hide from them.

You can feed terrestrial snails and slugs to fish but most fish won't eat them due to the slime (ew gross).

If you have snail baits, do not feed the snails and slugs to fish.

Terrestrial snails and slugs can pick up parasites from bird droppings and these can infect other animals if they eat the infected slug/ snail.

Most fish don't like French cuisine and won't eat snails so don't waste your time with them.
