Can Anyone Id Ths Fish?

Well my mete ki ki has this fish and we cant find out what he is iv searched the forum cichlids species and cant find it anywhere?

Lol, def not a GT,
My first guess was a female Severum, possibly wild caught, but the more i look at the image the more unsure i am, do you have any more images? the second one isn't much use at all i'm afraid, compared to the first image it looks like a totally different fish

Severum was my second guess . Yeah, your pics are a bit fuzzy, so it will be hard to tell. If you can get more in high res that would be good.

Looks like an unhappy pearsei, Herichthys pearsei. The patch of brown on the low body is what makes me think pearsei, but it doesn't have the nice yellow colouration of most.

Pearsei was my first thought as well. One in your photo is probably stressed.

Kinda looks a bit like my black Convicts....
But I'm very new to this, but at my pet store, the closest thing to that we sell are the convicts.

Yep its a Herichthys pearsei. Big and nice fish.

Yeah, I get most of my images off google, don't like sourcing from anywhere else as I don't want to infringe on copyrights or anything. But I agree, does look abit beat up, especially compared to the one you posted

But surely taking them off Google is infringing copy right as well.... The picture I showed is water marked so I'm not claiming it's my own and you can view where it came from by viewing the image.
