How are the fry doing?? My eggs have started hatching. I really hope they are stronger this time round.

I'm going to have to start selling off the panda fry, we have 3 in our community tank with our breeding group, obviously their parents are in this group. Anyway, there was a huge spawn going on last night, and one of the babies (which is now obviously a male) was spawning with one of our breeding females. Just hope it's not his mom  . They're only 6 months old. Can't believe they mature so quickly.

I traded my remaining bronze fry at the LFS this weekend. I also picked up a 4ft which we'll be setting up for cories. Probably for breeding and raising of the fry (just need to put in a divider).

Hope all's going well with the babies.

Keep well
Carmen :D

The fry are doing well, had one or two deaths since last post but its to be expected.

I've fixed one of the old 15gallon tanks so that ready for next week, when I'll move the fry to that.

The batch from 21st Oct is doing good too, they are growing steadily, so all is looking rosy at the moment.

Yeah I've read cories are mature at 6months.
not a good idea to breed between parents n child but meh! it happens in the wild.

Good to hear the babies are doing well. Bet they're growing fast.

I didn't bother rescuing any eggs from the spawn, since they're all spawning together. Once I have our new tank setup, I'll be rescuing panda eggs again, because I'll know who is breeding with whom.

I also have promised 5 of the older fry, including the 3 in our community tank, to another breeder. Just need to take them round to them.

Got any more pics of the kids :hey: ??

Speak soon
Carmen :D

 They are looking really good §tudz

I love their pattern. Looks really good. I've already picked the one's out for my tank :hey:  .

Keep up the great work, they look brilliant.

;)

Do you want to trade some for some panda babies?? :hey: I got their parents from different LFS's and the males are wild caught. I have some really handsome babies at the moment, growing nicely. So by the time yours are ready to go, the pandas will be pretty big.

Only if you want some. I'd probably want 2-3, since I already have 4. Maybe more, depending on how things look when I set up my other tank.

:p

I dont have room for any more fish :(
But you can have them for providing the starter culture :)

I've just moved them all to their new home the 15gallon, there is 107 big fry, so over 50% loss :(
still got some from the other bacth I'll be putting them in the 15 gallon in another week or so too
