Just a note the table they are upon (in a tub) has a map on it, I havent placed them on a map B)

And TBH this is the first time I've seen these fish from the top :)

I shall have to get me some of those cool looking cories for the basement tank.. upstairs tropical has 13 of the same cory.. and down stairs will have 6 of 4 different cory! muhahahah!

I like the Orange Lazers, I did see some in the NOT-SO-LFS a while ago and wasnt sure what they were so left them, and later I found out what they were and went back but they had sold :(

When I first started in fish-keeping I has a peppered but he got stuck inside some stupid fake rock I had and died :-( I no longer use any ornaments like that...

:/ yeah best to just go all natural haha. :D Peppers breed like crazy.. they msut lay eggs all the time.. I found three little fry the other day.. I hope they live haha. :D I am so mean. and I added Koolie loaches >> poor little fry..

 Wow, those are some gorgeous parents you have there. At least from looking at yours, I can see that mine are still very young, and probably why they haven't spawned since that only spawn we had from them. The two fry I moved back to the net seem to look better. I fed some microworms and they fed nicely.

How often are you making up a new culture of worms?? Even if you aren't using them, the culture will go off. But you are still able to salvage and make new cultures if you have the shimmering surface.

Thanks again for those pics, you have some really gorgeous Trilineatus there. And no wonder you have so many eggs. Those girls are huge.

Keep well
:D

thanks, I've been remaking the culture every 3 days or so

yeah they are big :D I did a lot of picking and chosing when I got them, stood for nearly and hour watching them, I wanted larger ones to start the breeding programme quicker :D

Morning §tudz

Where are you keeping the microworms? I make every 4 days or so, just to make sure I have a good supply, and it's nearly 2 weeks before they start to smell.

Well, :-( my Trilineatus fry died yesterday. I really have no idea what was wrong with them. They were very small, which was very surprising. I did feed them well, but obviously it wasn't meant to be. So I will wait till the parents are a lot bigger and I can get some other Trilineatus to widen the gene pool before I attempt breeding them again.

Good luck with your eggs. Keep us updated and pics are always a must :p

Keep well

:D

I keep them under the fish tank stand, as its warm and dark, I cant keep them in the air cupbaord, as its full and my parents would go mad lol, yes I'm 23 and still at home, stupid university and all that :)

:-( /me feels sorry for you and your fry, I will try extra hard to raise mine now so you can have some of them :D

:hyper:

They have started hatching!!

So far got about 20-30 fry, rest are about to hatch, some wont hatch till tomoz looking at the embryos as some are still small, where as most are bursting.

I'll try and get some pics hwen they have all hatched :good:

:hyper: Brilliant. Good luck and I hope you have hundreds of the little things. Good luck with them. I have everything crossed that they do well this time.

My little group are showing interest in spawning again, the girls are doing the chasing.

Keep us updated and I look forward to some pics of all your little wrigglers.

:D

hrm, problem I have now is getting ALL these empty eggs sacs out and the dirt from that came ion when I placed the fake plants in the tank :(

any ideas?

I thought I could use my large pipette to suck the fry out and then clean the tank and then put them back in with clean water?

Ok here are some pics of the fry, on a quick count, as they kept buzzing about the tub, I have about 130-150 fry

The blue bits are sand from the plants I put in there instead of take the eggs off, it was easier, and its blue from the meth' blue,
