Bt Broadband

Thanks Smurfy, i had a look at their website last night and will do it that way. :)

Cand definitely reccommend Telewest :good: (we've been with them a number of years now and their customer service is great). Ones to avoid are Talk Talk and Tiscali.

This sucks. We cant get Telewest in our area, so looking at Virgin for 20GB a month for £25.
Globalnet do unlimited useage up to 8GB for £30 and if we do it that way we dont need to pay for anything extra as it looked like with virgin we need to pay for the starter pack.
Ive checked our monthly useage and its between 5 and 8 which is high no?
I think we might stick with Globalnet as uswitch.com gave me providers ive never heard of before.
Still undecided though.

i use wanadoo :good:
and will NEVER touch ntl again! :grr:

Another one to try is perhaps Nildram - they are very good too and I've had good experience with them.

Looking at wanadoo too
thanks for that link Bloo, will get hubby to check it out.

Wanadoo are great, up to 8mb apperently although i only get 2.2mb out of mine and only £18.99 a month. I've never had it go down or any problems with conecting.

I like ntl personally as they update it so often and the speed is constantly getting faster for no extra charge.
I take it you're not a member of the NTL Hell website then ? ;)
You must be one of the lucky ones :good:

maybe he works for ntl?
just kidding :hey:

my friend works for ntl and he was offered free cable/internet connection but he still uses a different paid service...
:good:

all these ADSl companys make me laugh.

NOW SUPPLYING 8MB BROADBAND!!!!

and in the small print.

*alls you have to do is rent our exchange from us and you can live there with an 8mb line*

i havent looked into this in ages but when ADSL2 rolls out fully (if it hasnt already) then ADSL peeps should see some improvments.

shame cable doesnt have to do anything and they can increase jus as much as ADSL2 :)

why not tiscali? I have tiscali broadband and have had no probs, sometime it takes a couple of times for it to connect but very rarely. IMO its not so bad, i think its quite good

Because they're meanies and without being open about it, blacklist torrent sites. Granted there is loads of illegit stuff floating around the net, there's not reason to ban P2P downloads and make it near impossible to use P2P.
