just realised he has no slate caves for sale atm try messaging him
he has over 300 baby bns in the tank atm and a few less albino bns in another tank

Thanks for the reply.

After asking for advice on here (GOOD advice i have been given)
I will be doing the BN breeding a try... If no success then i will look into some other sort of pleco...
Either way sounds like a lot of fun...

I have found luck with tera cotta. You know when you buy like a 4 inch tera cotta pot, and you get that little tera cotta water dish to go with it? Take the water dish and break a hole in the side, and flip it upside down in the tank. My male used it for breeding. It cost me less than a dollar.

This is what mine looks like:

hi thats an excellent idea.. I bought some terracotta post the otherday.. Didnt even look at the dishes next to them.

I searched a few places in australia for caves but nothing at the moment.. So the terracotta post is the way to go i think.. What do you think is the best way to add a hole with out breaking it...

I have had the tank cycling for a few weeks just need to add the post and bristles and fingers crossed...

Only problem i have is the posting it to Australia...
I have not seen anything like that here... Whether due to not looking at breeding stuff or not im not sure... :shifty:

I used a hammer to break a hole into it. I took the hammer and barley hit the outside of the pot, and it started to chip away. I kept it up and there ya go! Instant Cave.

i just had cocnut caves worked well, put 3 in my tank and they picked the one there preferred most, in the end i got rid of them i couldnt stop them breedin and had babies everywhere!!!

I am in just such a predicament. The breeding pair have produced nearly forty to 50 fry in 75 gal community tank. Can't vaccum the substrate for fear of sucking up the fry. Do have a local fish store willing to take the fry in trade for store credit, but the fry are still quite small.
Am going to move the male from the tank at next water change. Mine are long finned albino Bristlenose and the fry are quite cute ,(in a virile sort of way).
