Breeding Sooner Than Thought...

I guess I'll be breeding sooner than I thought. Instead of April or May, I have changed it to January or Febuary. Why? Because I know the babies will need a lot of care, and I won't have time to take care of them in the summer! For in the summer, I am scheduled to go to Mexico, The Bahamas and New York! So I need more time, but that means I'll have to get more money faster. Luckly, my brother said he would help with that. Now for the matter, who should I breed? So far, only Synirr's bettas are suitible, even though my three other males are massive bubble nest builders. I'd like to breed Emerald, but there is one problem, he is my only betta that hasn't built a buble nest! Rocket (My skin colored one, who is actually marbled) and King (who looks marble but isn't) both have! But I'd really like to breed Emerald. I keep all of them in the same water condition, so is there anything I can help to build a buble nest? I give them a diet high in protien. Emerald, is my multicolored betta from Synirr, you can see him in my sig, he's a plakat. With the DT gene. So you should expect pix in a few months. So, any help for Emerald would be great. Either put a female in a jar and float it in his tank and it will encourage him to show off and build a nest, or put him next to another male

I thought that most bettas built nest when a storm is coming because it has something to do with the barometric pressure and they built when that happens.

That's awesome that your bro is helping you out and all..... How ironic is it that I'm also going to New York and The Bahamas hehe! Only I am going to New York during Christmas and the Bahamas over Spring Break!! Goodluck with getting everything sorted, and I can't really help you, as I've never had to worry about getting any of my boys to bubble nest for breeding, and the fact that they do it all the time on their own! Anyways can't wait til you get things underway. I'm sure we will be getting a spawn journal!!

I'd take some girls from you, maybe even for a little mula. Right now I could get 6 girls at about $1.50 a peice without going broke, and having to shut a tank down.
I wounder why parents are so against buying aqua stuff.....
I still have to finish up my 55G, right now I have 2 spare 10Gs down, and 1 5G.
I could fit some baby girls...

I dunno..I might need to sell it, or trade it in.
As soon as I find out what I need to, maybe in a few months, sure, but not untill december. I want to breed my cichlids, so I need a rearing tank, plus I want to start a sorrority tank...
As soon as my mom comes home from India, which'll be in a few weeks, I'll be able to tell you.

Our locals are great.
Check the Pioneer, Quad Comunity, the Star Tribune, all those are great.

Ok, now I am stuck. I want to intensify the red in the fins, so I would breed Emerald, but yet, I want to enhance the size of the fins, which I would use King. How many spawns is a female good for? How long would it take before I could spawn her again?
