Breeding Cory's

ho hum

To repeat what Cory_Dad said: Albino is not a species!

But regardless, most species which have albino variations on the market are easy to distinguish the genders when the fish are mature.

A gravid female of most albinos regardless of species is much larger than the male. When they are old enough they will spawn. It is very unlikely that you have 8 fish and none is a female. But I suppose it is possible.

I do repeat this about albinos so often  It really is fundamental regardless of if it is a Plec, a Cory, a Cichlid. or a human: Albino is not a species it is a variation.

Be sure to feed them high protein foods to condition them.

Studz, a member here, put together an article on Corydoras care and breeding.

More than half way down there are pictures of the three primary species that are bred albino, although there are others. They are a very good comparison. The article is also very good in several of the areas you are asking about. There is also a faqs pin above on breeding Corys.

The link to studz article is here link to the link

Studz is a member here and lots of the info there is from this forum. It is a nice overview of common Corys, brief, and I am glad it helps. I am sorry it does not address the gender ratio for rocknurworld tho.

Enjoy your Corys.
