Breeding Corys.. My Journal.

Avoid liquifry if you can, it polutes the water something crazy. Try for the hakari/hikari first bites, its a powered food and you can suck it up with a eye dropper do da thingy. I got some massive ones off eBay which have been really useful :)
+1 :)

I've used hikari firstbites, but prefer to use finely ground mini granules mixed with a teeny bit of tetramin baby which has proved fruitful to all my wee fry this past year. :good:
Similar way of feeding has mentioned,i use a little tank water in a pot,add the food then using a turkey baster, suck it up and put straight in the tank :)

I have some high protein fish food that Im gonna grind up to a powder and then use that.

One of my little fellas.

Well just a little update.
I have 27 total now all eating well and are 15 days old.
Looking like proper corys now also. although tiny

Gonna put my adult corys in my breeding tank again. I want MORE !

Ok.. another 40 + eggs in breeding tank. Moved all current fry into my fry tank and placed the new eggs into hatch tank.

I'll update when I get more info, prob hatch in next 3-5 days.

Yey !

Day 5 of new spawn and nothing yet.
Expecting to see the little fellas when I return from work before I go visit the wife in the hospital.

All eggs hatch by 6pm last night. 34 I think.
May have to start the breeding again as egg tank is now empty.

The Cory breeding bug has well and truly bitten.
