They won't usually let you hand pick shrimp at the lfs but whatever you get will be enough to start them breeding. If you are able to choose, get more females than males as they are larger and brighter usually than the males.

Have fun!

It's pretty much "just add water" when it comes to breeding these chaps. I started with 2 males and 4 males and now have dozens and dozens of them. They seem to do especially well in mature tanks that don't get played around with much. Algae and organic detritus are good foods for the juveniles. Air-powered sponge filters are ideal, both for gentle water currents and because they trap food particles the shrimps of all ages can eat. Direct sunlight may be helpful, too, in terms of promoting the growth of the microorganisms the juveniles like to eat.

Cheers, Neale

I am guessing you mean 4 females :p.

I have messaged a few people on eBay and 2 of them are willing to help me buy supplying 5 males and 10 females. From diffrent supplys

:good: I like to do the same every now and again so that the breeding lines don't get weak.
