I just wanted to check with you guys that the information the guy at the fish store gave me was accurate....

I fell in love with these tiny brazillian puffers which are under 1" in length and gorgeous! So after talking to the shop guy I bought 3.

The info he gave me was:

These puffers are true freshwater
They grow to about 2"
They are fine in a community tank although can nip at fins
They are fine with members of their own species

I have had them together in a 120 gallon and they dont seem to pay much attention to each other but I wanted to make sure that they will stay that way before its too late to return them.

Thanks for the help!

they are freshwater (at least i think they are)
they should grow to 2" or 3"
If a fish nips fins it cannot really be fine, I would advise a species tank. But even then they will squabble between each other

Are they like dwarf puffers or are they different ? I have never heard of them. I would be interested to see what they look like do you have any pics?

Fair point trout pout, I have a figure 8 who is lovely with everyone in his tank, but these brazillians are turning out to be much less friendly, I think they may have to go back to the store until I can sort another tank :(

I've never heard of a Brazilian puffer before, what do they look like? Mabey they're South American puffers.

Yeah they are South American puffers, they were labeled as Brazillian so thats what I called them. Unfortunately they all went back to the store today  bye bye little puffers :byebye:
