Hi
I brought some corys today. The LFS had them up as Brasiliensis corys. There black with redish fins. Ive tryed looking for them on the internet but i cant find them. Is there another name for them???

I have never heard of that name before.. I assume it is just another made up name by the suppliers to drum up sales. The only way you will be able to get a positive id is from posting a pic of the fish

Thanks will get some pics of them tonight.
Thanks again.

It looks like they are Black C. Aeneus. Im gunna go back and get some more. Do you know where i can get information about these??? Any good websites??? Also I payed £3.95 each for them did i get a good deal???

Hi. Generic information is the same as most Corys. Really nothing out of the ordinary.

Well, I believe we are not supposed to mention other web sites. Do a Google search and you'll come up with the appropriate sites.

Whether they are Czech bred or wild imports, on this side of the pond, that is a decent price. - Frank

P.S. The picture says, "Peru" but it should say "Venezuela." Been meaning to correct that.

Could they be concolors? They're usually around that price you see (whereas black aeneus are usually 3 x that price), but they're slate grey with copper fins (from the pics I've seen - still yet to get some - they're on my wanted list for when I have space!).
