Just wanted to praise Neale Monks (and contributers) on his book, Brackish Water Fishes. Recieved a copy from Amazon.co.uk last week and on first impressions was very impressed. I had a feeling that the book would be quite a heavy read (not literally!), but I was pleasently suprised to find a colourful, accessible and overall informative book. I have read most sections that were of particular interest to me, but I'm now reading the book from cover to cover. Well done, Neale! :good:

NOTE: I don't work for the publishers and haven't been bribed by Neale! ;)

The publisher called and said the check is in the mail. It's not a bribe, it was for the proof-reading that you did on the finished product. LOL

Thanks for the kind words!

It's lovely to hear that people are enjoying the book. I can't take credit for the best chapters though -- those are by people like Naomi Delventhal, Bruce Hansen and Richard Mleczko.

Cheers, Neale

DAM YOU! lol jokes- I went to Amazon a bit ago after asking Neale about his book and it says usually shipped within 1-3 weeks.... That's a long time- I wish I had just ordered it but I wanted to see if I could find it somewhere else...

Dam annoying I really wanted a copy- will probs just order it tomoz and wait. IT's not even on ebay!!!

My copy took around 2 weeks to be delivered, but it was worth the wait.

For some reason on the UK Amazon when I ordered it cost £65, so I ordered it from the US where it cost about $26, once I had ordered it the price change in the UK to more like £18!

It's a great book though, thouroughly recommended, contains everything you need to know about brackish fish and is good for newcomers and experienced fishkeepers.
