Brachysynodontis

Lol no they have no silver spots. These are almost black with darker spots. And they occassionally swim upside down. Hence their more common name of Greater Upside-down cats. :p
The are truly beautiful creatures. They grow to around 8inches so a good sized tank with plenty of hidey holes is essential. They look more like the filosynodontis breed which are lighter in colour and brownish. This is the first place I've seen any at all and they had others in too. Mostly it's because of people who find them real young and they outgrow the tanks. One they had in was bigger then the two I bought (for £9.99 each) but was in quarantine having been brought in in less then perfect condition. I plan on going back in a little over a fortnight. :D
They might not be colourful but they are really beautiful and when they put their finnage on display it is astounding.
I don't know where you are but if you can't find them locally then do try Swallows for them. I have the url for their site somewhere if you want it. There wasn't a single dead or ill fish in ANY of their many tanks and the red tail cat, almost full grown in it's big tank was a fantastic sight. It was then I felt like trying to wrangle an enormous tank into my rented house. Sadly I really can't.
Best of luck.
Hugs,
P.
