flat pieces are so hard to find especially in my area i was lucky to get 1 flat piece of live rock! lol... i had to get dead rock for more building blocks and wait for it to liven up abit
Ph 7.8 to 8.0 is that too low?
Ammonia 0 yay
Nitrates 10.0 to high?
Nitrites 0 yay
No sign of any Algae is that ok?
What can I do about the ph or is level ok?
This tank is less than two weeks old. The pH and other elements are going to be unstable for a while. The organisms that are in there now are more than hardy enough to withstand the fluctuations that come with a new tank.
My very small pico had a low pH for a while at about 7.8-8.0, because of the high level or organic dissolved solids, cause I have to feed the tank constantly. It stabilized after a while. You can also effect pH by increasing surface water movement. Like ainsy says also, look at your salt and test kits first. Looks like you're using API which isn't bad and what I use, though I've heard Salifert is actually better. Not on my salary. I highly advise, though that you don't mess with pH using a chemical method. How much LR do you have in there?
I use red sea pro salt. Its a little expensive, but works awesome. If your tank is unstable, try Bio Spira. I used it for both of my reefs, and they didnt have any problems with ph, ammonia, nitrates, etc.
Guys I was not considering altering the ph just making sure that everything was going in the right direction.
I just thought I might have had some algae or diatoms starting to appear this is a big journey for me and in no way going to rush things
