Bought Some Bettas To Feel Better

Well I was feeling really down about my failed spawns, so I went out to buy some new fishies!

I ended up buying an orange VT. His name is Hawaii.
I also bought a deep red VT. His name is Devil.
I also bought a female. I'm guessing she is a VT aswell? She is nameless at the moment.

I was feeling good on my way home


THEN...


When I got home, my bettas were wrapping! They have been wrapping for hours now. I even managed to catch it on video, the wrapping, egg release and the male picking them up and (I hope) putting them in the nest, not eating them!



I'M SO HAPPY NOW!!!!!!!!!!

Mmm it looks like some of my original post is missing, or maybe I didn't write it?

One of the other pairs I was trying to breed were wrapping when I got home. I was actually about to take them out and try again later because I made a mistake with my other spawns.

I have pics, but I need to find my usb thing to upload them on the computer.

I also have another cream/white looking VT I got from QLD last week...NEVER AGAIN!....

HE ONLY HAS 1 EYE!

I named him Cyclops lol

I love him still, even with 1 eye

CYCLOPS! AWWWW! Hahaaa!. I love the so called "rejects" . Things with missing limbs and eyes ect. My brother had a Pirahna with only 1 eye. He was called Nelson!

Thanks guys! I'm pretty excited too!!

My sister has the same camera as me, so I'm going to visit her tonight and grab the usb stuff I need to upload them.

I only don't have a pic of the female, but I guess I could take one now? lol

I LOVE the video of the spawning I have!

The only thing I'm concerned about is that the male (Richie) ate the eggs and didn't put them in the nest because I couldn't actually see him do it. I saw him go to the nest quickly, but I didn't see any eggs being blown up there or anything. Also, when I woke up this morning to heck, most of the nest was missing! There is still a bit of it left that I hope contains a few eggs.

When I upload the video, can someone please tell me the likelihood of him eating the eggs instead of blowing them in the nest?

Oh, and also...

I have heaps of pics of cyclops. Most of them are from the side with no eye (it was too hard to get the side WITH his eye lol. I have a head on shot where you can see his eye though. Looks much cuter with eyes lol

It's been 28hrs since they spawned and I still haven't seen any babies, or eggs in the nest for that matter.

If there are still no babies in 36hrs, do I assume it's failed?
