I don't think it's possible to do too many water changes with growing fry; and leaving the lights on for 12 hours would only be detrimental if you didn't want any algae growth; as you do, it's not a problem

Thank fluttermoth, I've been very helpful in this thread.

How long before I can move them on. I'm in no hurry bit would just like to know how long I will have them.

BN fry seem to be a bit sensitive to being moved; I'd suggest you keep them until they're at least an inch long, so a couple of months, probably.
