I drove a 5 hour round trip to pick up my new bird today
He's a very rare Blue Throated Conure! I had to get a permit and everything for him But he's here and he's lovely We've named him Ky and he's such a sweet little guy. He's all snuggled up in my hair right now
Oooh, and instead of screaming like most birds, he makes a REALLY cute noise - Kind of like laughing! Its adorable!!
It's a Paulie bird!! anybody seen that movie?!? It makes me cry..
hes adorable! I think we have one (or something alot like it) at the local pet shop... they treat it so nicely, and it MEOWS... they taught it to meow like a cat! it was real lifelike too he's a great impressionist.... ill have to find out if its the same kind... if so , that need for a permit explains why he hasnt been sold yet lol i'd take him in a second if i could, but most people here are far too lazy to bother with trying to get a permit, i bet..
I doubt this would be the same as the one in your shop as these are so rare that only private breeders can sell them, and only to a private 'collector' or another breeder so its pretty unlikely one would end up in a pet shop, i'd be really worried if it did though
You get the permit from the breeder. You just have to sign some forms and stuff
There are loads of different types of conures so the one at the shop is probably a green cheeked or something
