Alrite, not sure if any one has any information on these beuties, but unlike the Jack Dempsy, these colourfull fish grow half the length and aint aggressive :D Just wondering if anyone else had any information on them as there new to us in the UK as the shopkeeper said !

As far as i no, they grow to 20cm, 8inches and arn't aggressive at all as i found out when i purchased a couple :D
There latin name is (nandopis octofasciatus)
I currently have mine in a 3ft tank with a baby pair of covict cichlids, 2 reedfish/ropefish, 2 mountain shrimp, and a large bristlenose catfish, i'm thinking of maybe putting the pair of convicts in the 12ft tank so i can purchase more of these beutifull fish !

er, i think these are just a line-bred color variant on the standard JD... supposedly they're very delicate and prone to just keeling over at the slightest provocation. they're also pretty pricey.

I agree, if thats any help. Jack Dempsys dont grow to 16" either. 8" is normal. They are just another variation... Out of interest how much did they cost you?
