So after reading on the forums and sites that bettas love bloodworms I decided to go to my pet store and pick some up for him. Only problem is he wont eat them. Any ideas on why or ways to warm him up to them?

are they dry or frozen? i got my betta to start eating it by first feeding him a few lives ones and then slowly introducing the dried ones with the lives ones.

All of my bettas except one have loved the dried or live bloodworms. Every now and then, you'll have a fish who just doesn't care for them. If you do get live, please be sure it's a healthy batch. We went through a horrible bacterial outbreak in 2 of our tanks because of live bloodworms. I haven't fed them since.

My betta is like that, what i do is buy 1 bloodworm packet a week but it in a small tub with a little water, and evrey day give him around 3 flakes of food and pick 1 bloodworm at a time get it on the tip of my finger and he swims up and takes it from me, i do it until he has eatin around 5 worms

try that

My Betta's just the same way, except he won't eat the betta pellets. He swims up, sucks it in his mouth, and spits it out. He usually swims around angrily untill I throw in some blood worms. I'm guessing Bettas are just like people in that reguard. Personally, I hate mushrooms but you may like them. Some people say that if you soak the bloodworms in water for a bit first they'll get soft and your Betta might eat them. For me, no matter how soggy a mushroom is, I'm not going to eat it.
