What you must remember is that it costs a hell of a lot more to ship fish from the likes of peru or asia to the british isles than it does to say the usa. if a delivery is short of a certain breed of fish then all lfs are gonna take advantage of this and hike up their prices. its wrong but hey what can we mere mortals do about it apart from not paying the extortionate prices.

Blair has probably bunged a load of tax on them too.

with the gas prices in america you can pick between dropping 25 bucks for 10 gallons of gas or sittin at home for a week. makes money for fish stuff alot more scarce

yeah.... just paid $2.89 per gal today in San Diego for 87 octane which is the lowest grade here (like 2 star in the UK)

tis true...gas its around 3.00 a gallon here, which would be like 1.6 GBP for 3.7 Liters!

Don't forget that a US gallon is different from a UK gallon (I think a US gallon is 4/5th of a UK gallon.) In any case, Gas is still much cheaper here in the US.

I hate being in the UK sometimes... EG, you buy bettas, sometimes CTs and DTs etc for around $3 in the US. Or something like that. Me? I can get a VT mutt for £4.95. Pfffft.
