Black Tang

Hi Everyone

well i have been looking for a new tang on the internet i seen a gem tang was thinking about it untill i seen the price but will get one about summer time then i noticed a black tang but cant find enough info about them are they prone to white spot are they easy to keep and i have seen the price it is worth it tho and how do you think these will get on.

You have expensive taste in fish...all tangs are prone to WS. Dont know how bad black ones are though

Ryt Well for now i will get the black tang first lost my archilles tang only had it for a week due to white spot thats why i want some thing black in the tank it makes it look more compleate i think the black tang is easer to keep the archilles tang

Achilles tangs have quite a poor survival rate as they seem to take ages to settle.

there just as easy to keep as a yellow tang but you hve to be carefull the are prone to black spot and is very hard to notice the only way you can tell is it will lose colour and isnt that harmful

Holy christ u lost an achillies. and now your thinking bout a black tang jesus. just send ur money to me haha u seem to have lots.!!!

achillies over here are round 800$ for medium sized lol and no where in australia will even sell them now. the only places youll see them r on display at the shops. god damn collecting restrictions. lets hope they regenerate their numbers!

Black tang... Zebrasoma rostratum? Probably similar to others in this genus... meaning fairly hardy, not particularly prone to ich. Can't say I've kept a black tang, though.

not something that seems to pop up all to often, why not a midnight angel there jet black and alot less !

well went to my lfs today and came with an expensive pair of clownsfish take a quess and tell me

either a weird morph of percula or those blue banded clown shizzles that ive forgotten the actual name of .
