TMS is expensive isn't it, how many pounds would I require for a 120cm x 40cm surface area do you think?

TMS is expensive isn't it, how many pounds would I require for a 120cm x 40cm surface area do you think?

at least 3 i think you can buy 40kg on ebay thats the cheapest i have seen im in the same boat i need enough for a 75g tank

4 x 1 ft i think you'd be ok with 2bags, I filled my old 4 x 1 with just one bag and it was just over an inch so to get 2 inches a couple of 20lb bags should be ok.

Whats the stuff on ebay? is it still TMS

Where abouts in uk are you from? Wayside aquatics do do the same kind of black sand/small gravel in 25kg bags and its in the sale at the moment for £25, collection only though from essex. Link

yes its like tms i bought a kilo to have a look and its good stuff so i think im gonna shell out the £55 and get 40kg delivered

shame none of you are near Gatwick as I have a bag of TMS doing nothing as I sold the 4ft before I finished it! still the other bag looks great in the goldfish tank! wish I had done my 6ft in black sand now if I ever move house its getting changed for sure!!
