Hi all, i currently have a 20 gallon tank stocked so far with 5 albino cories and 5 juli corydoras. Which gave me the idea of creating a black and white themed tank using black slate and white rocks.

My question is although the cories provide a lot of entertainment and amusement, i kinda feel the tank is lacking in a centerpiece or a small group of mid-high-level fish.

Does anyone know any fish that will fit into my black and white plans. Front runners so far are penguin tetra's.

Some all black and all white Mollies :dunno:

A true surface dweller that can pass as both black and white could be marbled hatchet fish, though make sure you have a tight fitting lid as they are excellent jumpers.

Wow those really are stunning...i'm not sure if i have exhausted how many cories i can have with the current stocking of ten though.

I like the idea of marbled hatchet fish too but i think i'd be too scared of doing water changes for fear of it flying out!:D

I agree with some of the others - large, white sailfin mollies are really stunning against anything black. I had a pair and even with the tank light off they really stood out. Also the pearl gouramis are just as beautiful.

I have a pair of dalmation sailfin mollies, too - but for some reason, as they grew, they have lost most of the white from their bodies and are almost all black now!

I also have dalmation platies - maybe not as stunning as the mollies but they are a lot hardier.
