Black And White Themed Tank...

Venezuelan Black Corydoras are stunners!!!!!!!

Wow those really are stunning...i'm not sure if i have exhausted how many cories i can have with the current stocking of ten though.

I like the idea of marbled hatchet fish too but i think i'd be too scared of doing water changes for fear of it flying out!:D

They absolutely are stunning. They look like black velvet. Their official name is C. schultzei (black) although they have been called venezuelan blacks or C. aeneus (black) in the past.

Trichogaster microlepis or moonlight gourami is an especially graceful gourami that is a silvery white. It would be a lovely addition to a black and white tank.

Of course the cherry on the top (or rather, bottom  ) would be a Zebra Plec if you have a spare £60+ ;)

I can't beat that, doresy! It's a great picture too.

But, I did want to post a picture that I couldn't find earlier and maybe give this thread a little bump at the same time. Here's a group of the black C. schultzei with another of C. arcuatus. I hope you like it.

I think that zebra plec is probably the prettiest fish i've seen you know.

I would love a few of those C. schultzei i think the effect they would create with my albino's and juli's would look brilliant. And to boot they're very interesting fish to watch!

I think i'll pass on the gourami...I just had to give away a 3-spot that started to get aggresive after lights out for some reason...it's scarred me :D

Thanks for all your input it really is appreciated.

I'm on the hunt for black and white rocks now...then lots of money :D
