Black and Silver Mollies........

Hello everyone... :p

thanks for all your advice with my other questions.....


upto now the rest of my fish are fine, :thumbs:

going to take another sample to the fish shop tomorrow and do another 10% water change following this......is this correct. -_-

anyway, back to my original question, i have seen Black and Silver Mollies in a tank together and have fallen hook, line and sinker for them :wub:

would you advise 2 of each or more??

if you have room in your tank (they can vary in size from 1.5 inch to 2.5 inches), get a few, theyre nice fish. you could get all females without issue, though some may tell you different based on their experience (mine was fine with all females at one point), but not all males. if you have males, you should use the ratio of two females for every one male (the males will constantly harass the female and stress her out, sometimes to the point of death, trying to mate, so having more than one female around will give the other female time to rest. having all males, they will start to bully each other without female "distraction"). i adore the silver (or white really) mollies. i had a male, unfortunately my dominant male bullied him so much that i never saw him anymore so i took him to a lfs to find a new home. but he was sooooo beautiful, i hope to some day replace him (maybe with a her........ :D ). the black and silver look really great together too.

um..... i have one siver lf male molly and 1 female black molly and they seem fine together all alone with 13 guppy fry with them! he some times tryes to mate but not alot! is this becouse he only has ONE fin?
