Bit Of Advice Needed! :)

Hello All,

Just wondered if you could help me , I currently have a successful tropical tank set-up and have 9 fish in there the moment ( 6 Guppys,2 Albino Coris, 1 Plaqe(Algae Eater) ). I want to start adding fish to my tank , was just wondering wether you could give us some fish you think we should/shouldn't add to the tank ! Like what species get on or not? The fish we have saw and like - Fighter Fish, Red shark tale, but we are not sure what to do .

Any help welcomed

well both fighter fish or bettas as they are known on here and red tailed black sharks are aggressive, how many gallons/litres is the tank? and do you know the type of pleco as some grow to 24 inch sometimes larger

120 litres Not too sure the name of the pleco, but it will only grom 5inch or so !

Would Bettas and Guppies get on ?

Also im i best to quarantine them before new ones go in ?

bettas and guppies are a big no no although i have female fighters with colourless female guppies but i would not advice it, if you keen on getting a fighter you could get a 2 gallon tank for a male, 120l=~32gal, is the pleco one of these? Bristlenose

Hi, I think I am right in saying that fighter's will attack guppies and in fact fighters (Bettas) are best kept in a small tank and alone.
One suggestion, well a requirement actually, get at least 2 more albino corys as they like to shoal (in species)

yep more cories would be good, now quarantineing, another tank is needed however it can be smaller, mine is a 5 gal but i only have a 15 gal tank so i was only getting fish probably 2 at a time, you will need to cycle the tank then keep it cycled. i think a shoal of 6 tetras would look good and up the cory group to around 6
