BiOrbs

I think theres a thread about these in the beginners section. TBH they are expensive trash. Hard to clean, bad surface area etc.

I would second that...I've just sold my biorb to someone who was trying to sell me a mortgage (quite impressed with self!) and have bought a Juwel rio 125, am setting it up this afternoon, yay!

Biorb looks quite funky, but you can't have many fish and the poor things don't have much swimming room.

In my opinion......they are a great little tank. I have one stocked with lampeyes, and heavily planted. It is the best looking tank I have by far and absolutley everyone comments on it when they come round. It is no different from any other 8 gallon and as long as sensible stocking is used there should be no problems. :p
They are expensive for what they are though....!!

With a bubble wand/tube the surface area shouldn't be that big of a deal as long as people don't get ridiculous about stocking. All in all an interesting concept. ;)

the biggest draw back to bi-orbs is the surface area to volume ratio
the bi ube is slightly better but still limited to fish you should keep in it.

IMHO a betta is the only thing that should be kept in these containers, yes containers I refuse to call them tanks.
