Biorb Problems

Hi,

I have a biorb flow 30 and it is ok apart from under the ceramic media there is mould growing from food that is stuck in there.

Is there anyway to stop this such as adding a filter or something?

Grab a gravel vacuum and suck it up

Then top up tank with fresh dechlorinated water

i have the biorb vaccum thing and it doesn't suck it out

Ive got the same problem, im not sure a vacuum would work that well, ive got a layer of marbles covering the filter material so access is difficult.

use i fine substrate so any uneaten food or detritus settles on top for easy removal and dont cover internal filter

You cant use any other substrate.

You need to start the gravel vacuum like a siphon, dig it down into the ceramic media, i used to do it all the time..

If access is difficult, theres not much you can do then, its needs to be sucked up
