hi BigC i was just wondering what made u get into killifish ?
I bought a little insignificant book back in the early 70's with very little colour plates, but one of these plates was of a killifish It was mis named in the book and I now know it was Scriptaphyosemion brueningi, that was my first recollection of what was to become an obsession. at one point. Many years later I moved to Bradford est Yorkshire and fequented a small aquarist shop, its eeccentric owner also had a passion for killifish and he presented me with hundreds of past journals of the BKA. I joined the BKA, The AKA and the Scandinavian SKS at various points along the way. I've shown killifish at various shows and festivals up and down the country in the eighties.
How may have I bred to date LOL now theres a question....Impossible to count 1000's I expect. many sucess stories and equally many downsides in the early years.
One thing I will say is that I'm not a Killifish Guru and dont profess to know all there is to know on the subject, I have struggled to breed fish that are considered easy and have found really hard to breed killis a breeze. Funny that sometimes...
