Big enough for now?

So I've got my Betta set up in a one gallon carry case that you can get from Walmart that I had at my house. He has a small heater, thermometer and litte filter as well as a little house and a Betta leaf. I had only planned on keeping him on there 2 weeks until I could afford a new bigger tank, I typically keep my Bettas in a 2.5 gallon or bigger when I can. I unfortunately had some unexpected expenses to pay so I can't afford a new tank yet. My question is how long do you think he will be ok in the one gallon until I can get another tank.

Considering the little cups they keep them in at most pet store I think he will be alright. You are giving him a lot more freedom and a better life in that one gallon than they have in those little cups.

Short term, he’ll be fine. Be sure to do water changes of 50% every couple of days.

If the filter is not cycled or established change the water every day.
